- We require all drivers to be 21 years of age.
- The driver applicant must have a minimum of 6 months over-the-road experience within the last three years.
- Over the road is defined, at a minimum, as having driven at least 150 miles from the driver's point of departure and having kept DOT logs.
- The applicant must have a valid CDL and be licensed in his/her state of domicile. The only exception will be if the applicant has recently changed address from one state to another. The applicant must then obtain a CDL within 30 days.
- The driver applicant must be able to pass a DOT physical and will be subject to a pre-employment drug screen.
- Hirschbach will run an MVR, Employment History Background Check, and a Criminal Background check on all driver applicants.

Come drive the newest equipment on the road. Our average age of tractor is 2012+. Our fleet consists of primarily International Prostars or Freightliner Cascadias. When ordering our trucks, we are always thinking of our drivers.
We want you to be as comfortable as possible while out on the road. Our trucks all have refrigerators as well as premium interior and driver's seat. Our trucks are also very lightweight making it easier for you to scale your loads out. We are very proud of our new equipment. We have a monthly wash program that requires one truck wash per month. We want you to look the best going down the road!

Owner Operator Program
The pride, professionalism, and enthusiasm owner operators bring to the trucking industry is found in abundance at Hirschbach. Our owner operator program offers consistent freight, excellent freight lanes, weekly settlements, and the respect you deserve.
Our attractive pay program offers practical mile pay, minimum pay per dispatch, and higher pay for shorter miles. We reimburse all authorized tolls. Plus, we pay a fuel surcharge on all dispatched miles, we buy the reefer fuel, and there is no trailer rental or usage fee.
Hirschbach owner operators average 2,500 - 3,000 miles per week. You'll be out 7 - 21 days with 2 - 3 days off. Home time depends on what the owner operator wants and where they live. There is no forced dispatch. Our loads are pre-planned and give the owner operator the opportunity to run their truck - their business - as efficiently as possible.

Along with great pay our company drivers know the key to their success is the partnership between the driver and all levels of the Hirschbach team. This important sense of teamwork is something that sets a Hirschbach company driver a step above the rest.
We know home time is important and our company drivers average 13 - 21 days out with 1 - 3 days at home, depending on where you live. Consult the Hiring Area map to find out what is offered where you live.
At Hirschbach we are proud of our trucks and it shows. Hirschbach trucks make up one of the best looking, most well-maintained fleets in the business. Our fleet consists of 2012 & newer International ProStar+ with APUs, upgraded seats and interiors, and built-in refrigerators.
Another benefit of working for Hirschbach is that we look out for more than just your driving career. Our medical package, Symetra Select, a defined benefits medical plan, allows drivers to pick the coverage level they need. A driver can select coverage for themselves, one additional family member, or an entire family. For a small additional charge they can add critical illness and short term disability coverage. And all Hirschbach company drivers receive a free $10,000 individual life insurance policy. After one year of employment a driver can elect to switch to our Blue Cross/Blue Shield policy.
Vacation pay and a company matching 401K retirement plan are available after one year with our company. Vacation pay starts at $500 per week. Drivers get one week of vacation after one year, two weeks after three years, and three weeks after ten years with us. Vacation pay is grandfathered from a driver's previous employer meaning you may get more vacation quicker depending on how long you worked for your last company.

Long Haul (East of the Rocky Mountains)
Drivers operating in Hirschbach's long haul fleet, known as the East of the Rockies (EOR) Division, will haul refrigerated and other freight on excellent freight lanes stretching from the nation's heartland to Texas and the Gulf region and other southern destinations, over to Florida, on up to Maine and to countless points in between.
Our strong customer base includes many of the top meat processors in the country along with a diverse group of shippers located throughout the region. EOR drivers receive practical mile pay, higher pay for shorter loads, and an attractive guaranteed minimum pay per dispatch. And EOR drivers work in comfort in our ultra-modern truck fleet consisting of 2012 and newer tractors.
Hirschbach feature stylish International ProStar+ trucks equipped with APUs, refrigerators, and upgraded seats and interiors. When these new trucks are combined with our new, aerodynamic reefer trailers you get a comfortable, roomy, money-making package that you just won't find in any other company our size in the trucking industry.
Drivers in Hirschbach's elite Midwest Regional (MWR) fleet haul time and temperature sensitive freight to top shippers in the nation's heartland. Anchoring the states that make up the MWR division running area is the state of Iowa. Many MWR loads start and end in this vital meat production state but no less important are our customers in Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and South Dakota.

Driver Referral Program
Hirschbach drivers who refer a driver to the company are paid a generous bonus of up to
$1,500 for each referral. The driver making the referral is paid $500 when the driver
they refer graduates from orientation, $500 when the driver has achieved 30 days of continuous
employment and another $500 when the driver completes 60 continuous days of employment.
Making a driver referral is an easy and profitable way to help yourself and Hirschbach.
